Description	This dataset contains a list of the heerlijkheden, cities and other geographic entities in the County of Holland in 1500 and in 1795, before the introduction of modern municipalities in the Netherlands in 1812. The coding scheme used for this list links up with the printed map with accompanying introduction published in 2017 with Verloren, and a forthcoming article in Tijdschrift Holland: Stapel, R. J., 'Kaart van het Graafschap Holland (1795)', in: Lantink, F. W. & Temminck, J. (eds.), Heerlijkheden in Holland.
